Human skull is a part of axial skeleton. It is not a single bone but it is made up of many bones which are united with each other by a fibrous structure called suture. Human skull mainly made up of two structures: calveria and facial skeleton. Calveria is the bony structure which supports entire brain and forms various opening at skullbase through which various vascular, neural and lymphatic stuctures enters and exits from calveria. On the other side facial skeleton is made up of numerous bones including mandible, right & left maxillae, right & left zygomatic bones, right & left nasal bones, ethmoid bone etc.
